Virtual Reality is getting a lot of attention lately, and looks likely to become another important way we engage with learners. But what is “Virtual Reality?” What about “Augmented Reality?” or “Mixed Reality?” How do these technologies promise to improve learning, and what can we do now?
Join us for an interactive session where we’ll answer these questions and more, reviewing the state of the VR industry, some examples of how it is being used now, and some easy takeaways to understand what sorts of learning Virtual, and Augmented/mixed reality will benefit. We’ll review concepts such as presence, embodiment, and the proteus effect, and provide opportunities for attendees to experience virtual reality themselves.
